A Syrian American doctor calls on the Assad regime to punish the relatives of his colleagues

It seems that the medical oath that is taken to practice the medical profession is a verbal oath that has no value for some doctors, who violate and contradict this oath by their conduct and behavior.

But the most morally provocative is the call of a Syrian-born Doctor Naim Nazha, who holds American citizenship, practices medicine and resides in New Jersey, the Assad regime to punish his colleagues and his fellow American citizens opposing the Assad regime in Syria and their families and, call for the terrifying and practice of intimidation against his Americans of Syrian dissent by punishing their families, the innocent civilians residing in Syria, who have nothing to do with any opposing behavior to the Assad regime.

Doctor Nazha is part of Facebook group in the United States called The Syria American Healthcare Professionals which has about 3000 Physicians and other healthcare professional. Dr. Nazha’s social media behavior has sparked a broad outrage among its members and the Syrian Community throughout the United stated. Members of the community have called on everyone to report Dr. Nazha’s to the authorities considering his actions unethical, non-patriotic, against the constitution and are threatening to the safety of the Syrian American citizens and their extended families back in Syria.

The matter goes beyond the ethical aspect on the part of this doctor, as he writes on the Twitter platform his opinions clearly and frankly. These opinions are not only remained in the opinion matrix, but rather they are an expression of hostile positions that is inconsistent with his profession as a doctor. They also incite the violence against his fellow Americans and innocent civilians under regime oppression in other country. Which is surprisingly strange, because for someone, who holds American citizenship and enjoys its benefits, should not, while practicing a humanist profession, “medicine,” violate the ethics of his profession, or violate the values and principles of the American Constitution and the oath of the citizenship that he swears by. He is expected to respect and honor his country constitution and its principles and, work to promote it, even if he has to take up arms as an American citizen to defend these principles and this Constitution.

The Syrian American doctor, Naeem Nuzha, called on his Twitter page to punish the relatives of his American citizens of Syrian origin, who stand against human rights violations and against the crimes of genocides committed by the ruling regime in Damascus.

We tracked the tweets of this Syrian American doctor, as it turned out that he is in a relationship with a high-ranking official in the Assad regime, Omar Rahmon, who works as a Minister or Spokesman for national reconciliation, as his Twitter account says. Doctor Naim Nazha responded to a tweet by Omar Rahmoun who wrote in a tweet in which he said: “The US House of Representatives agrees to amend the law fighting normalization with Syria to include the extension of the Caesar Act for another eight years. Comment: It is a law for the Syrian opposition to have fun with and give vent to its oppression after the news of Syria’s return to the Arab League. I say to the opposition: Soak it and drink its water.

Dr. Nazha wrote in his reply to the Syrian Official “Punishing any of the Syrian opposition and the Syrian dissidents in America for supporting sanctions against the Assad regime and punishing them and their families is the only way they will learn.”

This call contradicts the ethics of the medical profession, and contradicts American values, principles, and norms that call for respect for freedom, human rights and reject violence, terrorism, and terrorizing defenseless civilians.
How can a person like Dr. Naeem Nuzha, who holds American citizenship, practice these violations, by calling on the Bashar al-Assad regime to punish the families of Syrian Americans who oppose him, with the call to use methods such as blackmail, threats, and intimidation to twist the arm of opponents of the Assad regime in America?

Doctor Nazha’s tweets did not stop at the borders of the Syrian issue, but rather went to support the Russians, allies of the Syrian regime, as he called on the the man in charge of Russia’s notorious Wagner Group private mercenary army, Yevgeny Prigozhin, to use the principle of scorched earth against the Ukrainians so that (the Russians) do not need to lose their soldiers, as he supports the destruction of everything, and this is what his tweet shows in the following replay in which he called for leveling of residential buildings to the ground and not to waste the lives of Russian soldiers.

Doctor Nazha’s incitement call to the Assad regime and his call for him to punish his dissidents, who are Americans, and their relatives in Syria, is an incitement to harm, practice of violence and terror and, it is a violation of human rights which the US Constitution and laws call for its protection.

This incitement, first, contradicts his humanist profession, which is the profession of medicine, that calls for compassion and alleviating human suffering. It also contradicts the US Constitution that advocates human rights in the world. And in the end, this incitement is considered a participation in the commission of crimes, and incitement to them, which under no circumstances falls in the absolute with what can be called (freedom The opinion).

The incitement to total annihilation and genocide in the aggressive Russian war against Ukraine was mentioned in below Dr. Nazha’s tweet, which violates the essence of the American citizenship that this doctor enjoys and indicates a deep relationship with Assad regime.

Doctor Nazha made a mistake in breaching the ethics and morals of his profession by instigating the killing of unarmed innocent civilians, genocide and the leveling of cities to the ground.

He also made a mistake against his American homeland, which he holds his nationality and swore to protect its constitution, when he contacted an official in a foreign government to incite him to harm his fellow Americans, demanding in his call to punish the Syrian-American dissidents by punishing their families as well. Here this doctor commits the crime of inciting blackmail, threats and intimidation in his call to take revenge on unarmed civilians, who are relatives of his fellow citizens and are opponents of the Assad regime, to whom Doctor Naeem does not hide his loyalty.

Will the case of this doctor ignite the Syrian, Arab and Ukrainian public opinion in America and the human rights societies?, especially since both countries, Syria and Ukraine, are suffering under the criminality of one enemy that supports a criminal tyrannical regime in Damascus and wages a war of terror and genocide in Ukraine, as it did in Aleppo and Syria when it was destroyed by its planes and leveled to the ground.

We await the interaction of the justice public groups and human rights community in the United States and the legal and judicial authorities.
