According to reliable sources, the former American ambassador, Mr. Robert Ford, was in the regime – liberated northern of Syria two days ago. It is not known if he was officially sent as a representative of his country or if he went in his personal capacity. Questions about his mission there, and whether it is in order to persuade the factions of Jabhat al-Nusra, the National Army and other factions to surrender, settle, by dismantling themselves peacefully or forcefully, or help them rearranging their situation.
It is well known that Ambassador Ford, through his statements, articles and activities, calls for acceptance of the fait accompli and surrender to the criminal, terrorist Assad regime, that has committed crimes against humanity, under the pretext of political pragmatism, ignoring of the national values and principles upon which his country the United States of America was founded. Ignoring too, how the United States and its allies fought the war against the Axis powers and won victory over them, Nazi Germany and its leader Adolf Hitler, refusing to accept, under any justification of the pragmatism, of the fait accompli and Hitler’s Nazi crimes against humanity. And additionally ignoring the fact that the same approach, that he follows, was not applied and would not have been applied in the case of Ukraine, which is suffering now from Vladimir Putin’s terrorism.
Mr. Ford’s position is truly shameful and contradicts the great American values and principles. It also indicates his lack of the true American patriotism and his lack of faith in the great foundations upon which the United States was founded.
Mr. Ford’s position is one that insults the United States of America and defiles its reputation, prestigious status and the greatness of its values and principles.
Mr. Ford must step aside and relieve himself from efforts of searching for justifications and pretexts for keeping Assad’s terrorist regime in power. He must stop defending him and campaigning for his survival. He must also stop being a mouthpiece and servant of Assad’s regime. His positions and actions neither will help in finding any realistic solution for the Syrian crisis, nor will serve the creation of a sustainable peace for it. Not to mention that his concealed planning is not intended to bring justice to the millions of Syrians whose lives were lost under the terrorist, sectarian and nazi Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.
It’s clearly evident that his suspicious endeavors, which are contrary to human values, will harm the United States, its reputation, and its interests.
Any solution that does not lead to holding the Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad himself, his cronies, and his regime accountable, will not put the Syrian tragedy to rest. And it will not serve the interests of the United States of America at all.
Wake up, Mr. Ford, and stop betraying your country and the values and principles of humanity for all mankind.
