أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب عن التوصل مع الأوروبيين إلى إطار اتفاق مستقبلي بشأن غرينلاند ومنطقة القطب الشمالي بأكملها.

وأضاف “هذا الحل، في حال إتمامه، سيكون مكسبًا كبيرًا للولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وجميع دول الناتو. وبناءً على هذا التفاهم، لن أفرض الرسوم الجمركية التي كان من المقرر أن تدخل حيز التنفيذ في الأول من فبراير”.

وتابع الرئيس الأمريكي: “تُجرى حاليًا مناقشات إضافية بشأن اتفاقية القبة الذهبية فيما يتعلق بغرينلاند. وسيتم توفير المزيد من المعلومات مع تقدم المناقشات”.

وأوضح ترامب أن نائبه جيه دي فانس، ووزير الخارجية ماركو روبيو، والمبعوث الخاص ستيف ويتكوف، وغيرهم حسب الحاجة، “سيتولون مسؤولية المفاوضات وسيرفعون تقاريرهم إليّ مباشرة”.
