The president of the national coalition is following the development of Mrs. Leila Mohammed after being assaulted in Gaziantep

The head of the National Coalition, Salem Al-Maslat, confirmed that he is closely following the situation of Mrs. Laila Mohamed, who was attacked in an accident in Gaziantep yesterday.

Al-Maslat explained that he had contacted the woman’s family to check on her health and to confirm that the National Coalition would follow up on the incident.

He also said: “Any attack on any person, no matter how old and whatever their nationality is unacceptable and condemned, and what happened to the Syrian elderly lady affects us all and can not be accepted.”

By following up on the matter, the Turkish official authorities have begun to investigate what happened and will take deterrent measures.

Stressing that what happened is an individual behavior that has nothing to do with the morals of the friendly Turkish people; in a state governed by law, which preserves the rights and dignity of its citizens and guests.

He warned against personals who use social networking sites to abuse the relationship between the two brotherly peoples, indicating that these individual incidents cannot cover up the friendly nature of the Turkish people, who received millions of Syrians and stood by the Syrian people and supported their revolution and cause eleven years ago.
